Take notes on everything, categorize them, backlink them properly, and you'll end up with this amazing system that helps you remember better and make smarter decisions.</p>
<p class="" style="margin:1em 0;font-family:-apple-system,BlinkMacSystemFont,'Segoe UI',Roboto,Oxygen-Sans,Ubuntu,Cantarell,'Helvetica Neue',sans-serif;color:#2d2d2f;font-size:16px;line-height:1.5">But in reality? It's a bit of a nightmare. </p>
<p class="" style="margin:1em 0;font-family:-apple-system,BlinkMacSystemFont,'Segoe UI',Roboto,Oxygen-Sans,Ubuntu,Cantarell,'Helvetica Neue',sans-serif;color:#2d2d2f;font-size:16px;line-height:1.5">First you've got to build it. </p>
<p class="" style="margin:1em 0;font-family:-apple-system,BlinkMacSystemFont,'Segoe UI',Roboto,Oxygen-Sans,Ubuntu,Cantarell,'Helvetica Neue',sans-serif;color:#2d2d2f;font-size:16px;line-height:1.5">Then you have to fill it with stuff, maintain it, review it. </p>
<p class="" style="margin:1em 0;font-family:-apple-system,BlinkMacSystemFont,'Segoe UI',Roboto,Oxygen-Sans,Ubuntu,Cantarell,'Helvetica Neue',sans-serif;color:#2d2d2f;font-size:16px;line-height:1.5"><em>Then</em> you have to groom it constantly, to create new links, and the structure you started with will never be sufficient, so the structure will always change over time. </p>
<p class="" style="margin:1em 0;font-family:-apple-system,BlinkMacSystemFont,'Segoe UI',Roboto,Oxygen-Sans,Ubuntu,Cantarell,'Helvetica Neue',sans-serif;color:#2d2d2f;font-size:16px;line-height:1.5">No matter how diligently you try to give it a coherent shape, it will always end up as one giant, semi-structured blob.</p>
<p class="" style="margin:1em 0;font-family:-apple-system,BlinkMacSystemFont,'Segoe UI',Roboto,Oxygen-Sans,Ubuntu,Cantarell,'Helvetica Neue',sans-serif;color:#2d2d2f;font-size:16px;line-height:1.5">Now you have to dive <em>into</em> that goopy blob every time you want to get value out of it. </p>
<p class="" style="margin:1em 0;font-family:-apple-system,BlinkMacSystemFont,'Segoe UI',Roboto,Oxygen-Sans,Ubuntu,Cantarell,'Helvetica Neue',sans-serif;color:#2d2d2f;font-size:16px;line-height:1.5"><strong>You can combine a bespoke AI assistant with that blob</strong>. </p>
<p class="" style="margin:1em 0;font-family:-apple-system,BlinkMacSystemFont,'Segoe UI',Roboto,Oxygen-Sans,Ubuntu,Cantarell,'Helvetica Neue',sans-serif;color:#2d2d2f;font-size:16px;line-height:1.5">Because the contents of that blob is actually extremely valuable, <em>if</em> you have the right tool to make use of it. </p>

<p class="" style="margin:1em 0;font-family:-apple-system,BlinkMacSystemFont,'Segoe UI',Roboto,Oxygen-Sans,Ubuntu,Cantarell,'Helvetica Neue',sans-serif;color:#2d2d2f;font-size:16px;line-height:1.5">Suddenly your blob is a goldmine.</p>
<p class="" style="margin:1em 0;font-family:-apple-system,BlinkMacSystemFont,'Segoe UI',Roboto,Oxygen-Sans,Ubuntu,Cantarell,'Helvetica Neue',sans-serif;color:#2d2d2f;font-size:16px;line-height:1.5">Quick side note: every enterprise I've ever seen has had an enormous "second brain" (knowledge base, internal wiki) that gets built but never used. What if you could make <em>your</em> company's huge blob of enterprise data actually useful, <em>as, where, and when you need it</em>? Winner.</p>

<li class="list_item" style="padding:0 0 0 1em;margin:0;margin-left:1em"><span>And it can answer "<strong>when did I last...</strong>" and "<strong>what did I decide about...</strong>" questions instantly. No more wasting 20 minutes searching for something you know you figured out before.</span></li>

It doesn't <em>know</em> things. It doesn't remember things. </p>

<p class="" style="margin:1em 0;font-family:-apple-system,BlinkMacSystemFont,'Segoe UI',Roboto,Oxygen-Sans,Ubuntu,Cantarell,'Helvetica Neue',sans-serif;color:#2d2d2f;font-size:16px;line-height:1.5">The trick is to give it lots of input text, aka context, in the format the model can use best and at the right time. </p>
<p class="" style="margin:1em 0;font-family:-apple-system,BlinkMacSystemFont,'Segoe UI',Roboto,Oxygen-Sans,Ubuntu,Cantarell,'Helvetica Neue',sans-serif;color:#2d2d2f;font-size:16px;line-height:1.5">When you prepare your data and program your <strong>system,</strong> the interface between you and the model, it can help you save <em>your</em> brain.</p>
<p class="" style="margin:1em 0;font-family:-apple-system,BlinkMacSystemFont,'Segoe UI',Roboto,Oxygen-Sans,Ubuntu,Cantarell,'Helvetica Neue',sans-serif;color:#2d2d2f;font-size:16px;line-height:1.5">When you create an index from your data, embeddings that an LLM or search algorithm can use to find relevant stuff from vague queries… and you chunk your data properly… and you use the LLM itself to turn notes about your data into memories so it can utilize it better…</p>
